Job Title: Installation Supervisor
Location: Dammam, KSA
Department: Product & Contract Management
Job Purpose:
- Reporting to Operations Manager, will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of the cranes within the stipulated specification, and ensuring the completion of the jobs assignment to the satisfaction of the customer. He will have sound knowledge of the technical requirements of Industrial Cranes and have ability to read GA drawings.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Understand the assembly drawings and circuit diagrams
- Interface with customers and contracts management department on delivery schedules and execution of projects
- Supervise the loading and Dispatching of the cranes to the necessary sites
- Carry out necessary site inspection prior to delivery of the cranes
- Supervise the commissioning of the cranes.
- Carry out lad tests and preparation of FAT documentation
- Trouble shooting & error analysis for fast repair / rectification
- Handing over the cranes to customers, including user training and obtaining project completion
Operating Environment:
- Installation jobs are supported by Third Party suppliers in executing projects. However, is challenged in meeting the customer’s specifications. Site preparation is a critical factor in smooth execution of projects and it will be responsibility of the installation to handle customer pressures in contracts management.
- Required to work in multiple sites and projects. Will require driving long distances to remote locations.
Communication and Working Relationship:
- Highly communicative role. Need to communicate between the internal departments, third party suppliers and customers. Should thorough on contract terms and technical specification to be successful
- Inter department co-ordination with logistics, production and site management is critical
Framework, Boundaries & Decision Making
- Most decision making and customer negotiation is supported by the Contracts Manager. However, must be prudent to provide technical explanations to the customer on site.
- His responsibility is limited to advising the company on onsite circumstances and supporting production scheduling for timely delivery.
Qualification, Experience & Skills
a. Education & Experience
- Diploma Certification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a qualified University
- Minimum 3 years experience in commissioning of cranes, particularly Electrical commissioning.
- Certified on Health & Safety Standards will have a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of Siemens 7 PLC, and Electrical circuit diagrams
b. Job specific skills
- Good technical understanding of EOT /Overhead Cranes
- Valid GCC driving license
- Knowledge of GCC local market
c. Language Skills
- Fluency in English (Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage)
Behavioural Skills
- Must be willing to work beyond the call of duty.
- Should be able to provide possible solutions to any technical issues during installation.
