| Design Engineer – Electrical |

Job Purpose:
- Reporting to the Engineering manager will be responsible to provide electrical design solutions to our customer’s material handling requirements. He/she will be responsible for the preparation of autocad drawings, preparation of CDP for both standard and non standard cranes. Additionally will be closely involved in technical meetings with customer in providing technical clarification.
- Preparation & modification of AutoCAD Drawings independently.
- Providing support to sales team on Technical issues.
- Coordinating with the order processing department for technical order processing.
- Supporting the Engineering Manager for design & engineering jobs in non-standard engineering activities
- Provide technical solutions and involve in technical consultation with customers.
- Coordinating between commissioning engineers & customers for correct execution of orders.
- Primarily back office support with intense involvement in customization. The candidate will work with a small team of engineers providing the technical solutions for confirmed orders. He will also be communicating and supporting the execution team onsite problem solving.
- Must be a good communicator with excellent negotiation skills
- Good presentation skills
- The role is to provide practical solutions and will be subject to sales and contracts management approval. Reports to the Engineering and Contracts Manager, who will be the key decision maker.
a. Education
- B.E in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum work experience of 6 - 8 years
- Having intimate experience with: overhead travelling & suspension cranes, particularly, drives, invertors and motors
- Sound knowledge of design calculations with experience in structural design (Runway beam, columns etc)
- AutoCAD Certified
- Experience with Siemens 7 PLC
- Knowledge of Crane Designer tools is a distinct advantage.
